Location: arrive at Oaxaca International Aiport (OAX), transport to hotel
After a short ride from the airport, settle in at the hotel in downtown Oaxaca City and take the afternoon to unwind.
Meet your fellow travelers over welcome drinks at a local mezcalería.
Embark on a walking street food tour to enjoy traditional Oaxacan cuisine.

Location: Oaxaca City
Start your morning with breakfast at a local coffee shop and explore downtown Oaxaca City.
Roll up your sleeves for a traditional Oaxacan cooking class featuring mole, mezcal, tlayudas, and fresh salsas.
Experience a Lucha Libre match, where you’ll see masked wrestlers perform high-flying stunts.

Location: Transfer from Oaxaca City to Puerto Escondido
Take the shuttle bus in the morning to Puerto Escondido on the Pacific coast.
Check into the surf hotel and grab lunch in town.

Start the day with your first surf class, where experienced instructors cover the fundamentals on land before heading out into the water.
Return home for lunch, then its back to the beach for some volleyball and relaxation.

Begin the day again with surf lessons, building on your progress from day one!
Spend the afternoon snorkeling at nearby Playa Carrizalillo.
At sunset, we’ll join a local turtle conservation organization for their nightly baby turtle release into the ocean.

Enjoy the final morning of surf lessons, graduating to a different beach (weather permitting).
Take the afternoon for yourself: returning to beach, grabbing a massage, or another activity in town.
Freshen up, then head out for group dinner at a beach club.

Location: Transfer Puerto Escondido to Oaxaca City
Wake up early for sunrise on the beach or an optional final surf session.

No, you do not need prior surfing experience to join! Our trip is designed for beginners and we’ll guide you through the process from start to finish. The surf school will provide all necessary equipment and instruction.

Yes, you do need to be comfortable in the water and able to swim. Beyond that, no special athletic ability is required! Our surf lessons are designed for complete beginners, and your instructors will guide you step by step. You don’t need to be in peak physical shape to enjoy the experience.

Learning to surf is a key aspect of this trip, and our experienced instructors are committed to supporting all skill levels, especially beginners. However, if you decide after your first lesson that surfing isn’t for you, you’ll have ample opportunity to relax on the beach, swim, and take part in everything else that Puerto Escondido and Oaxaca City have to offer.

This trip is designed with beginners in mind, but it’s open to all levels. If you already have some surfing experience, our instructors can tailor lessons to your skill set to ensure you’ll fully enjoy the trip.

While the itinerary covers all listed activities, meals, and accommodations, there are a few items not included in the trip:
International flights: Guests are responsible for booking their own flights to and from Oaxaca.
Personal expenses: Any personal shopping, souvenirs, or extra snacks outside of the planned meals are not included.
Additional activities: While many activities like surf lessons, Lucha Libre, and the cooking class are included, additional activities outside of the planned itinerary are at your own expense.
Travel insurance: We require that all travelers purchase and demonstrate proof of travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances during your trip, such as flight cancellations or medical needs.
Beverages: Fresh drinking water is included in the cost of this trip and will be available at all mealtimes; however, travelers are required to pay for any additional drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic).
